Apart from people who clearly understand the world and how it works, it hard to tell these days which category people fall into. 1. People who are low information because they are busy and have to rely on bad takes from noisy people. 2. People who are high information but like to lie to themselves or others because they want to think they are right and hate the other tribe. 3. People who are high information but pretend they are low info because they want to make money / profile by upsetting low information people.

These are the Twitter/X accounts with the most engagement so far in 2026. I suppose I had some intuition for how bad it was, but jeez, this is what you get when the ecosystem is broken.

If Chinese were slightly more alpha they’d go for the jugular. BYD and Geely start running ads in Europe featuring Musk-Epstein ties and Musks social media posts. Reduce Tesla sales to near zero.

@stats_feed The comparison is not really correct. China, India and the US are more or less continents. In that regards, it would be better to add the EU 🇪🇺 in the same way. The EU would likely place in the top 3.

This isn't satire. No jokes. This is the President of the United States telling Norway that he's going to take Greenland from Denmark because Norway didn't give him a peace prize. This isn't Orange Man Bad. This is Orange Man Mad.

This is the climbdown - for now. But maybe this will give it all time enough for him to move on to some other shiny thing.

France is committed to the sovereignty and independence of nations, in Europe and elsewhere. This guides our choices. It underpins our commitment to the United Nations and to its Charter. It is on this basis that we support, and will continue to support Ukraine and that we have built a coalition of the willing for a robust and lasting peace, to defend these principles and our security. It is also on this basis that we decided to take part in the exercise organized by Denmark in Greenland. We fully assume this decision, because security in the Arctic and at the outer edges of our Europe is at stake. No intimidation or threat will influence us—neither in Ukraine, nor in Greenland, nor anywhere else in the world when we are confronted with such situations. Tariff threats are unacceptable and have no place in this context. Europeans will respond in a united and coordinated manner should they be confirmed. We will ensure that European sovereignty is upheld. It is in this spirit that I will engage with our European partners.

Yet again, Trump risks global catastrophe because of his vanity, his megalomania, and his inability to understand how maps work. His obsession with Greenland could obliterate NATO and lead to World War III. Link below.

Defence spending in Greenland will rise. One way or other. And whoever “owns” it. I see EU is stomping its little feet like toddlers. Throwing baby out of a pram with retaliatory tariffs - doubling down on their previous bad move last time. EU is totally reliant on the US.

@PDX_native @RadioFreeTom I’m pleased you admitted you have no argument. Because if you did you would advance it rather than showing you have no argument by using baseless smears and name calling. Go ahead and block me. Go on.

There’s nothing like showing you’re off trend like jumping on a trend that’s about 6 weeks old. That’s a past fad and you’re washed up. #2016 bandwagon

@TwidToo @johnondrasik Obama famously endorsed a "pivot to Asia" that signaled a lack of interest in Europe. Putin hated Obama for many reasons - including being his race - but his invasion of Crimea was an emotional freak-out because of his guy getting hounded out of office in Ukraine.

A president trying to stop a war doesn't come out and kiss the ring like this. A strong American president would skip the presser. Stone-faced, he'd indicate his disappointment, make clear that more consequences for Russia are coming, get on Air Force One, and go home.

TRUMP: Thank you very much, Vladimir PUTIN: Next time in Moscow TRUMP: Oooh. That's an interesting one. I'll get a little heat on that one, but I could see it possibly happening (Trump and Putin then leave)
