Your council tax is £2,300 a year. On top of income tax and NI every month.
They collect bins every 2 weeks (if you're lucky), haven't fixed the pothole outside your house in 4 years, and just closed the library down the road to save money.
Meanwhile the average NHS wait is 18 weeks, GP bookings are 3 weeks out, and A&E regularly runs 8+ hours.
You're paying for services that don't exist anymore.

Made the mistake of using the Blackwall Tunnel.
Now I have to create a TFL account, despite not wanting one. I have to give enough detail that should the data ever get hacked, they'd have enough information to access all my online accts. Place of birth etc.

You go to work for 40 years (I'm currently at 42).
You’re forced into auto‑enrolment. You play by the rules, you save into a pension on the promise it’s yours.
Then Labour strolls in, waves through a law that lets ministers tell your scheme where to gamble those savings – not for your benefit, but to prop up their economic “strategy” and vanity infrastructure schemes that the market won’t fund.
This isn’t prudence. It isn’t “modernisation”. It is a straightforward transfer of control from the saver to the state.
Hands off our pensions. Share this before they pretend nobody noticed.

Not arsed, it's money, could really use it right now but, whatever... ....but he's also stopped calling daily, telling tales, having a laugh.

@ick_real Never lend money to family or friends. There's just no upside to doing it. I lent money to my brother 4 years ago, and still haven't seen it all yet.. it's forced a wedge between us.
