Congrats to our November Top Tomato Employee of the Month, Delivery Driver, Recardo Velasquez! Check out this nomination and why he was recognized!!! Last week, while turning from Telge Road onto Cypress North Houston Rd. he saw a young boy running on to the street. He immediately turned his 18-wheeler delivery truck diagonally across the road, blocking the 4 lanes of traffic, so no cars could move. They were honking at him to move because the other drivers couldn’t see what he was seeing – a little kid in the middle of the road. Ricardo saw teachers from Lamkin Elementary running after the student and, by blocking the road, he gave them time to reach the student and bring him back to safety. When Ricardo saw that the student was safe, he moved his truck out of the way and kept going with his route. He never told anyone about what happened. When word got out and was asked about it, he stated, “I did it from my heart, not for recognition”. Thank you Sandra Simoes and Texas Roadhouse for helping sponsor our award!

Dear @RepSchofield , I am a HD132 constituent. I still do not have power at my home and our local public schools are closed again today due to lack of power. I am asking you to advocate as a state legislator for fixing the power grid. This is a TOP priority, NOT vouchers.
