@vishnuagarwal64 Indeed in-depth analysis. Infosys play book applies to every IT company based in India. Cash should be used to do acquisition instead of dividends and share buy-back.
Infosys is doing nearly everything right. That’s what makes this interesting.
Maximus is working. Deal wins are record-breaking. Case studies with Ralph Lauren (12% revenue lift), Hertz (60% cost cut), and BP (50 AI agents) are genuinely world-class. Offshore mix is shifting. Capital returns are strong.
And growth is still stuck at 2 to 3%.
This is the defining tension of the Indian IT industry in the AI era.
The companies that adopt AI fastest hollow out their own revenue base most aggressively. The companies that don’t adopt fast enough get undercut by competitors who do.
There is no winning move. Only the less-losing ones.
Infosys is playing the less-losing game better than most. That’s the investment thesis, the risk, and the story all at once.
The deal pipeline tells you demand. The guidance tells you what demand is actually worth.
Infosys just did something confusing at its FY26 earnings call.
- Signed $14.9 billion in large deals, up 24% YoY. Biggest TCV in its history.
- Then guided FY27 revenue growth at 1.5 to 3.5%.
- The deal pipeline says boom. The guidance says barely moving.
Here’s what the contradiction actually means:

Shame on you @airindia
I am flying to Bangalore on AI2845
I paid for seat 10A as being a kidney transplant recipient I wanted to be comfortable
But to my surprise I am alloted seat 22B
Firstly I have paid a premium to block a seat and I am shamelessly told that the payment is not to block the seat
Really!!!
Why do you charge money then???
This is a joke
And then the staff is blaming me for not checking the boarding pass when it was given to me at the counter
And then the offer to refund the money
This is simply not acceptable
If you can't block the seat why do you charge money
This is not about a refund
This is about ethics
