I'll give married guys some free advice...
Chase your wife around the house. You turn something on in her. You guys become children for just that 4 minutes running around. 😉
Lift her off the ground. It says something to her mind. 😉
But if you want to keep the spark alive in the middle of a busy life, add these to the list:
Take over the dinner chaos. When she is staring down the pot trying to figure out how to feed everyone, stepping in and saying, "I've got this," or just ordering the Friday night pizza or food so she doesn't have to cook, speaks directly to her soul.
Handle the unsexy logistics.
Give her the gift of absolute silence. Sometimes taking the kids out of the house for two hours so she can just exist in a quiet room without anyone needing anything from her.
Flirt with her during the ordinary moments. A wink across the room while you are both cleaning up the kitchen reminds her that underneath the heavy titles of "Mom" and "Dad," you are still just two people crazy about each other.
Notice the invisible labor. Thank her for remembering the scheduling, the grocery, and all the behind the scenes magic that keeps the house running. It bridges the gap and silently says, "I see exactly how hard you work for us."
The movie romance is great, but the trenches of everyday life are where the real connection happens.
Show up for her there.

Today is my mum’s birthday, and although I was at home, I was careful not to act like I even remembered it.
By the time it was 8pm, she had already slept off, and all the preparations were finally ready.
We snuck our last born into her room to wake her, telling her to come and see a late-visiting guest—and she walked into the birthday surprise:
her children singing the Happy Birthday song with love in their hearts, with gifts, and most importantly, the one thing my mum loves… chicken (we got both the suya and the fried version).
I hadn’t seen my mum and dad so visibly happy all year; she literally showered us with so many blessings and prayers.

Do people know that teaching hospitals are not places you should just able to walk into.
Teaching hospitals are meant majorly for referred cases and training specialist healthcare workers like nurses and resident doctors.
After specialising in teaching hospital, a huge number of these specialist doctors and nurses are supposed to be working in your general hospitals, federal medical centers and state specialist with tons of medical officers working under them.
Most emergencies and clinical conditions should actually be handled by specialists both medical and surgical at this secondary healthcare level.
But walk into most general hospital in this country apart from lagos and what you'd meet is crickets.
You'd be lucky to find one or two MOs shooting far above their pay grade.
You'd see MOs doing ex-laps, CS, and ortho procedures just because if they don't, thousands will die.
Walk into their emergency room and you'd be lucky to find functional resuscitation items and an oxygen cylinder.
Yet, rather than these people to protest about their useless leaders.
They'd rather point to the overworked doctor and nurses, they'd say we lack empathy, that we deserve our poor pay because of our lackadaisical attitude and that God will punish us if we don't attend to them on time.
Godforsaken country.
