@Small_tes I think this is something people need to realise. It's just the system we've found ourselves that makes us think adding other things to studying medicine is something worth doing and celebrating.

I am Nigerian, and right now my dream is bigger than me. Only about 4.5% of medical literature globally are represented on Black skin. That means millions of Black patients are learning from systems that barely look like them. Medical students study diseases on skin tones that are not their own. Doctors are trained with visual references that often fail Black bodies. That gap has consequences. So I am deciding to build towards changing it. I’m starting with a book. But the larger vision is far beyond that. I want to help build software and medical visualization tools that make Black medical representation impossible to ignore. This is not just about diversity aesthetics, this is about accuracy, education, visibility and better healthcare outcomes. One day, I want a Black child studying medicine anywhere on earth to see themselves fully represented in what they learn. And I believe we can build that future.

No Christian that has any form of sense should be supporting Tinubu either privately or publicly. If you are blinded by greed and/or Tribalism, then your Christianity is questionable. May we all walk in wisdom.

So the school has just released a memo directing 300-level MBBS students in Streams A and B to vacate the university. After years of delay and uncertainty, this is heartbreaking. @Nigerian_Doctor @aproko_doctor @Dr_Afo @the_beardedsina

We came ready to become doctors for our communities, for our families, for a country that desperately needs us. That was 2 to 4 years ago. Today, we are still here. Stuck. The Class of 2020 and 2021 have been in 300L for 2 to 3 years now. We have repeated the same lectures. Rewritten the same notes. Watched our juniors in other schools pass us by, graduate, and enter housemanship while we remain frozen in time. We are frustrated. Frustrated because we study 12 hours a day for exams that don’t move us forward. Frustrated because our parents keep asking “when will you finish?” and we have no answer. Frustrated because we see patients waiting for doctors while we sit idle, with knowledge but no license to use it. *But more than frustrated, we are pleading.* Pleading because we have sacrificed everything for this dream. Pleading because some of our parents have sold land, borrowed money, and aged waiting for the day we become “Dr.” Pleading because every month without accreditation is another month of lost lives, lost careers, and lost hope. Accreditation is not a favor. It is the promise you made to us when we were admitted. It is the bridge between the training we have endured and the patients waiting for our hands. We are not asking you to lower standards. We are asking you to meet them, so we can meet ours. Give us a clear timeline. Give us the accreditation process you committed to. Give us back our future. We don’t want pity. We want to serve. Let us finish becoming doctors. Respectfully, _The Class of 2020, 2021, and 2022_ FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES OTUKPO(FUHSO) Medical Students_ @Nigerian_Doctor

I woke up at 4am with one question: why am I building this? why am I building Pewbeam? Yesterday evening, while replying to customers, I scrolled past an Instagram post from weeks ago. A first-timer at my local church—Celebration Church, Ibadan—had tagged Pewbeam in a photo. He said we were part of what made his first Sunday whole. I sat with that for a long minute. 8 months ago, I just wanted to build software. In a few hours, about 300 churches around the world will open Pewbeam to put scripture on a screen the moment their pastor speaks. 300 churches. At an average of 1,000 members each. 300,000 people. The projectionist in the booth. The media guy at the laptop. The pastor mid-sentence reaching for a verse. They are doing arguably the most important work in the world. That's the answer. Pewbeam exists so pastors, media teams, and members get an unbroken Sunday, scripture, songs, lyrics instantly, no hindrance between the message and the congregation. To the ~300 churches running Pewbeam today: we've got you 🧡

I want to build a bible presentation AI agent for church use. Imagine Bible verses coming up on screen as the Pastor preaches just based on what he’s talking about or his paraphrases and quotes. I want to build this completely in public, starting today. Thoughts?
