Yay! Contributed to Nuxt official documentation and my pr was merged by @danielcroe🤗The pr was about how global middlewares are executed on the server side during the application's life cycle. Last year I contributed to Vuejs official docs & now Nuxt, tools I use on a daily💚🚀

@AustinRoy007 also most of the companies which laid of devs 'because of ai' are also re-hiring for the same positions but quietly.

Do AI fear mongerers ever look at the underlying causes of things or do they always just buy the nonsense CEOs put out? 😅 Oracle did those layoffs to focus spend on hardware infra (seems like an odd bet tbh but we'll see how it goes for them)
Siyad@axmedalxender

Oracle just laid off 30,000 people! 18% of their workforce but a Mutuku with an aging MacBook and 47 Firefox tabs wants you to believe AI is a bluff. I got laid off three years ago. I pivoted. He’s still in denial. Adapt or get adapted out.

Software Engineers at Claude using axios, cracked swes in Kenya using fetch. I think the problem here in Kenya is that we know too much. We are experts at everything.

2026 and we’re still pretending handwritten assembly is magically faster than compiler output. Feels like someone’s still benchmarking with “hello world” from a classroom slide.

@_samurai93 fetch is native in modern browsers and all major js runtimes, as a 1st class citizen. If using fetch in stead of 3rd party libs which are likely to be or are being hit by malware makes me an expert, then its not a bad thing.

FFmpeg is moving to Rust 🦀 Our use of C and Assembly in FFmpeg has been an unacceptable violation of safety. FFmpeg will be running 10x slower - but we're doing it for your safety. All your videos will appear green - safety first, working software later.

@LessonsFromProd you can ship something real while being on a streak. That was the point of 100DaysOfCode. Consistency. It was never about performative aspect it was to make sure one follows through till they finish learning or building

@RDistinct maybe people just got tired of the performative aspect. shipping something real seems to matter more than the streak. though honestly, constraints still help — whether thats 100 days or just "build until its done."
