@wagarrwal @Light3675 That’s just a theory. This thing also gets the Sinhala stuff wrong imo. Seems far more likely to have been an Eastern migration atp.

@Light3675 What about the Indo-Aryan migration that gave rise to the Steppe rich Jatts (of Haryana/UP/Rajasthan) and Rors? Wasn't that a separate later migration?

Always thought bees/wasps can smell fear like dogs so I’ve been pretty fond of them. Every summer a few would land on me and I’d pet them to my friends’ bewilderment. If you hold no fear and no animosity you can befriend the wasp and bee.

@wagarrwal @yajnadevam I think this really only shows Columbia selection bias. Though sure, it’s possible that they accept lower scoring Sikhs.

@yajnadevam Hindus would be first ahead of Chinese if they got separated from Sikhs.

@RNemos @tractorjeet @kallol68 @rohit7Arya Best parchar of Sikhi in last 50 years was Kisan Morcha Sikh led farmers defeated Hindutvi Modi led government. Kisan Morcha was a victory of secular, egalitarian and progressive real Indian values over Hindutva, led by Sikhs. Don't underestimate its impact on Indian psyche

Jats were the first major community to convert to Islam. Today, all Jatts of the Indus river system are either Muslim or Sikh. The hold of Hinduism on Jats has always been tenuous and same can be seen today.

@tractorjeet @kallol68 @AshokSGarcha @rohit7Arya Well that’s the reason it won’t spread & prachar doesn’t work. There’ll be no more than a million keshdharis in a century as it becomes a full fledged ethno-religion. Bhai Jagraj Singh was the only Sikh widely successful in prachar and there’s a good reason for that.

@RNemos @kallol68 @AshokSGarcha @rohit7Arya I see where you are coming from but without the blood sacrifice and stake in the game that jatts have in Sikhi, it wouldn’t have the gas to endure its harshest tests Though Sikh monks arent like that but normal people act normally how they do. And tbh I want it to exist somewhat

@RNemos Pakistanis are Arab. What’s so hard for you to understand? In fact, I’ll consider this as a blessing in disguise - Arabism will bring out the best aspects of Vedic culture and allow Pakistan to reach its best expression of cultural identity. It will be a boon for Pakistan.

@Chimichang96950 A level of formalized heterogeneity + post-colonial heterogeneity for Indians, novel heterogeneity + post-colonial homogeneity for BDs. PK just gets fetishized by them for colorism, mimetic rivalry, mimetic fascination, etc.
