I asked HC Jim Mora about wearing his heart on his sleeve & the emotion he showed coming onto the field for yesterdays scrimmage… here’s what he had to say:

@CSUFootball Legend. There should be a bronze statue of that man on the north side. Not an artistic corporate Satyr mask riding a old bike. Coach Lubick deserves a proper bronze statue.

"Do you know if they're safe, if they're protected?" Yes we mostly talked basketball today with Coach Farokhmanesh, but we also talked about the conflict in Iran which has affected our families in some way, including the family of Ali's dad.

Jerrod Calhoun on no Mountain West representatives at the tournament: "Let's call it as it is. It was a very ugly breakup. ... I think we did the best we could the way we represented this conference, beating a Big East school and taking a 1 seed to a pretty close game."

I hope the broadcast depicted how gritty and tough this team was against the Spartans. These women were truly relentless and it was incredible to witness. Ryun Williams said it best afterwards: "There's not one CSU Ram around the country, wherever they are watching, that isn't bursting with pride." Thank you for an amazing season ladies! 💚💛

@TonyMarconi14 @CSUMBasketball A couple CSU fans, a couple St Joe’s fans. And a shit-ton of random people who lost bets on the game. Mouth breathers living in their mom’s basement.

@AztecAnalytics The MWC had an AFA/SJSU problem this year. Those 2 teams alone, dropped the "average" NET ranking of the MWC by 30.67 points. Had those 2 not been in MWC this year, the avg NET ranking would have been 82. That cost the MWC 2 more teams into the NCAAT.

good morning I FOIA'd the operational budget for more than 200 MBB programs Here's who spends the most, the least, who gets the most (wins) out of the least money, and what you need to spend to make it deep in March: (full data in link below)

Not only did SDSU not get in or New Mexico but where Utah St got seeded shows me there are so many on committee who must understand analytic numbers and predictives and don’t watch enough games. Clearly there are hard decisions but only one MW team this year is ridiculous

@BrianCa14259180 @JustinTMichael More likely, our poor non-conference performance this year hurt us. Too many bad losses. Not enough big wins. Bummer because as a whole, the MW is far superior to the WCC, and far better than the MAC and A10 who got multiple bids. Hope MW teams perform well in the NIT.

Not shocking it happened but the Mountain West being a 1-bid league is dumb

Are the robots teasing me or could we potentially run through Colorado and Minnesota to win the NIT?

I wish New Mexico was going to be in the Pac-12. I’ve met so many amazing UNM hoops fans over the years. And I love watching CSU-UNM, UNM-SDSU, etc. I’m not a suit or a TV executive, but that’s how I feel. Have talked about it on the pod many times.
