This is my Kula Deiva Grama temple This Amman is the Kula Devata for the below families (as mentioned on this plaque) - 58 families from the Sengundhar community, 85 families from the Naadaar community, 48 families from the Brahmin community (my paternal ancestry was one of them) This is a Grama devata Amman and the temple priests or Poosaaris traditionally belong to the Sengundhar community (not Brahmin archakas). I make it a point to visit every year and the Poosaaris know me well. The Tamil Sanatani ecosystem and culture was thriving very well for many many centuries, until the last few decades, and we all know why.

One of my friends secured an MNC job through college placements. As per policy, once you get placed, you're out of the process, no second chances, no off campus attempts, nothing. He accepted it, waited for the offer letter, joining was expected around June, and then out of nowhere last week the offer got revoked. The company suddenly doesn’t need them anymore. Now it’s almost May, the market is already brutal, and they’re back to square one. What makes it worse is these rigid policies. You’re locked in when things go right, but completely on your own when things fall apart. And I’ve even seen someone try to go off campus after getting placed, that didn’t end well.

@Vivaan_04 @shrav_10 Student was given full time offer along wit h internship in last june. That is the reason student joined and couldnt even sit for subsequent placements.

Taking the liberty of an unsolicited, genuine request to @svembu sir, as he is a public figure - Namaskaram sir. Panchakaccha is the appropriate attire/vastra for a married person (Gruhastha), not the thattu Veshti/Dhoti. The normal simple Dhoti is prescribed for only the unmarried men/boys. There is deep Vedic, Shastra tattva and meaning behind this appropriate Vastra Dhaarana (adorning the right attire as per Rishi vaakya). Given that you are anyway deciding to go the traditional route, wouldn't you want to do it 100% correct? Once a celebrity or a public figure like you starts wearing it in public, it would come to be slowly normalized in our society over time. We need more people to not shy away and instead be bold in wearing the Panchakaccha in public. It would initially be a bit cumbersome and would take a while to start wearing it, if one is not used to it. But over time, if one starts wearing it daily, it can be easily adorned in a jiffy. If you, by reading this, find some sense in what I have written and if you even start thinking in the direction ‘I shouldn’t wear normal Veshti but wear Panchakaccha instead’, my objective of writing this would be greatly met. Of course, if you completely switch to Panchakaccha 24*7*365, upon reading this, my Shaashtanga pranams to you punaf punaha. Thank you and Namaskaram.
