I don’t agree with the new law in Israel, but the outrage highlights the double standard Israel is held to.
Israel is debating capital punishment for TERRORISM RELATED MURDER.
Meanwhile, under the Islamic Republic in Iran, hundreds are executed every year—not just for murder, but for political charges like “enmity against God,” dissent, or alleged spying. The law itself ranks people by religion. Baha’is aren’t even recognized. Others live with limits on what they can practice, where they can work, and how they can live (apartheid).
In Saudi Arabia, executions are routine—including for non-violent offenses—and public religious freedom doesn’t exist.
Across the region, people are imprisoned or executed for belief, identity, or speech.
And yet when Israel moves even slightly in the same direction as its neighbors, the reaction is on a completely different scale… thats why it’s hard to take the critics seriously— your outrage is selective, and it’s clear why.
