Article II, as it pertains to the Executive: The President's first duty is to enforce laws, serve as Commander in Chief of the armed forces, make treaties (with Senate advice and consent), appoint major officials and judges (with Senate confirmation), grant pardons (except in impeachment cases), and give the State of the Union address. Trump's statement last night verbatim, "The first duty of the **American government** is to protect American citizens, not illegal aliens." And here are the duties.
