This video frustrates me because you can clearly see David Corenswet was born to play Superman. He had all the potential... only to be directed into a version that mistakes empathy for yelling, outbursts, and forced quirky moments.

I really hate this scene.
Why is Superman yelling out his emotions to a man who has already shown he's beyond reason?
Lex had just executed an innocent person in front of him
It feels less like Superman and more like a forced attempt to manufacture an "epic" emotional climax.

You can see Corenswets take on Clark Was vastly different (and better imo) in his screen test. Clearly a more calm & collected Clark Kent reminiscent of reeves, routh, & cavills previous portrayals. Much like your example You can see Gunns fingerprints all over it in the finished product. From the screaming dialogue to the goofy perm. It’s definitely NOT what corenswet had in mind.

@RealAtlasX The entire point of Superman ‘25 was solely to show “I’m not Man of Steel”. WB took the critiques of MoS and decided to make a whole movie where you couldn’t make those same critiques. This scene was the climax of that, telling audiences directly “I am campy Superman”
