Has anyone told Turkiye how this works? They officially opened accession talks in October 2005, 21 years ago, and are still not allowed into this club. However, three nations had to wait 7yrs to join: Bulgaria, Romania & Croatia. I guess the eu paying Turkiye to keep its borders shut to waiting mass illegals is an eu benefit.
