@ZiLu9380 There truly is not a "one- size fits all" leadership approach. A combination of leadership approaches is what's needed such as Transformational Leadership, Distributive Leadership, Adaptive Leadership etc. All of these approaches will elicit effective communication and change.

@KaruNGovender We need to move to a more skill-based education system. We have to work towards thinking out of the box. There is a greater shift digitally now, as to how to empower our learner's to take ownership of their learning through engaging social interactions. We need change in SA!

#futuretrends The pandemic is an opportunity for our professional growth, for us to constantly learn and reflect and for us all to participate in reorganizing teaching and learning. This crisis is forcing leaders and all of us to rethink what we are doing in education!

Leadership is about support and selflessness, building capacity and thinking about others and promoting the success of others. It is about the absence of control, power or position and all about effecting action and change.

We say our education system must ensure that 4IR skills must be incorporated. What about schools who do not have the right tools to embrace the 4IR? Do they get left behind? Most schools still have no basic sanitation or feeding schemes etc. Basic needs first!!!

#futuretrends We constantly hear 'no school left behind, 'teacher as facilitators', we use words such as 'robotics' and 'coding', 'artificial intelligence', etc. Most schools do not have the correct tools to embrace the 4IR and are lagging far behind. Issues of exclusions exist!

#futuretrends Covid-19 has brought unresolved racial and socio-economic inequalities to the fore in our country. We need " inclusive growth" now. Leaders must work towards everyone receiving an equal opportunity.

#futuretrends Adaptive, Transformational Distributive and Participatory Approaches to Leadership is what is needed now where leadership is shared in an environment that is conducive to learning and where all involved feel safe to voice their ideas and opinions and feel valued.
