It’s heartbreaking that Harris County GOP Chair candidate Don Hooper supports 6 police officers surrounding a veteran and threatening arrest — all because @KimmieTai brought our big, beautiful American flag to the Charlie Kirk vigil. I was there. That flag had everyone stopping for photos, beaming with patriotic pride for America that brought tears to my eyes. 🇺🇸 The police wouldn’t even let Kim lay our sacred flag down and were very rude. As an immigrant from a communist country, I kindly told the officers this was frightening to witness in America. This veteran hero helped end red flag gun laws in Texas and led one of the first rallies to secure our border — and Don Hooper resorts to insulting her for bringing a big US flag and trying to politely reason with unconstitutional orders? Republicans Overseas condemns the political assassination of Charlie Kirk and urges our leaders to punish the perpetrators to the fullest extent of the law. WASHINGTON, D.C. – We are shocked and saddened by the horrific murder of Charlie Kirk. Charlie had a heart for young people and a desire to spare them from the sadness and dreariness of lives lived under leftism. He went straight into the heart of the leftist beast – the university – and engaged directly with college students. He listened to people and encouraged civil debate. He never shied away from giving a hard answer to a difficult question, but he did so with grace and with a genuine desire to share the truth with the questioner. Charlie’s influence can undoubtedly be seen in the growing conservatism of young people, especially young men. We pray for the repose of Charlie’s soul and that God will comfort his wife and two young children. We pray for his friends and family and for the many young people who never met Charlie, but whose lives were touched by him and whose death will affect them.
