Friday I start to phase out of the rcmp after 34 years + memories. From NF, NS, BC, NT, and back. Amazing people in the HRD + HRP. My last day in Blue Serge - dismantling the insignia feels awkward! Thanks to former and current serving who give of themselves. Masi Cho.

Brian Pinksen knew from an early age that he wanted to be in the military. While serving in Afghanistan, he was wounded by an explosion. He died on this day in 2010, at a hospital in Landstuhl, Germany. Today and always, we remember his sacrifice. #CanadaRemembers

On this day in 2002, the first @CanadianForces members were killed in Afghanistan by “friendly fire”. Today, we keep Corporal Ainsworth Dyer, Private Richard Green, Sergeant Marc Léger and Private Nathan Smith in our hearts. ❤️ 🎨 Portrait: Project Heroes #CanadaRemembers

The attack on #VimyRidge began at 5:30 a.m. on April 9, 1917, and lasted for four days. Approximately 100,000 Canadians took part in this assault, braving difficult conditions and fierce enemy fire. 🔗: ow.ly/csHS50Rbj33 #CanadaRemembers

1/ Afghanistan is forever etched into the collective psyche of those who served there, and has left none untouched, with many, including families, scarred physically, mentally, and morally. Our feelings and beliefs about the mission are deeply personal.
