Forced storage laws do not “prevent” anything.
They exist solely to punish people who are already victims of theft or tragedy. It is a malicious policy that, if applied to any other type of device or object outside of firearms, would be rejected outright.
Never mind the fact that forcing owners to lock away the tools they rely on for protection costs them minutes when seconds matter.

Senator Shane Massey just made a motion to non concur with the clean bill and not one Republican stood to oppose him. Not one.
Republicans have circled the wagons, throwing gun owners under the bus, to protect their fellow colleagues from a straight vote on a clean bill.
