We are deeply disappointed by the loss of Farmers Market SW from the Lot at 4th and M Street SW. We are actively working to identify a new location within the neighborhood. Our goal is to ensure continued space for local vendors to grow their businesses and for neighbors to access healthy, affordable food options. This abrupt announcement came as a shock to us, and we are doing everything we can to keep Farmers Market SW in Southwest.

You saw our free coffee cart to brighten people’s day but folks also left behind positive notes to share with everyone to see. 🥹 What positive thing would you have to say?

We spent the morning hanging out outside of L’Enfant metro handing out free hot coffee on a beautiful day. ☕️ Why? Just because we wanted to brighten your day. 😊

We’re thrilled to announce the completion of “A River Runs Through It,” the latest climate-focused mural by political artist Andrea Limauro — created with and for the Southwest community. Painted alongside neighbors and students from Richard Wright PCS, the mural highlights James Creek, the historic waterway beneath SW's feet. This artwork shines a light on the growing urgency of climate resilience and celebrates the innovative “sponge park” redesign of Lansburgh Park that helps protect our community from extreme storms.
