East Franklin Elementary students recently visited The Ashford of Grove City, making friendship bracelets, reading with residents, and sharing conversation. The visit also included a special reunion between a former teacher, her former student now on staff, and a former coworker.

SWCS is launching Boys Lacrosse this spring, expanding opportunities for student-athletes at Grove City HS and Franklin Heights HS. This inaugural season is all about growth, teamwork, and building a strong foundation for the future of the sport in our district.

390,000+ Ohio students are participating in the Team Tressel Fitness Challenge! They are setting wellness goals, tracking progress, and forming daily habits to improve fitness, nutrition, and sleep.

Prairie Lincoln Elementary 4th graders are making a big impact! Through See Kids Dream, students organized a Westside Homeless Drive, collecting over 3,000 items (goal: 200!) to support Jordan’s Crossing. Proud of these young leaders!

Last week, as part of Reach Out and Read, students from @PSIS_TWolves visited the Bostic Center to spend time with their preschool buddies. Students shared their love of reading by enjoying Dr. Seuss books together, creating themed crafts and sharing a snack.

Families at Richard Avenue Elementary joined their K–4 students for Title I Family Engagement mornings, working together on hands-on literacy and math activities that mirror classroom learning. 📚➕ A great way to strengthen the home–school connection!

@RAES_Runners families recently came to Title I Family Engagement mornings focused on hands-on literacy and math activities. They worked alongside their students participating in grade-level activities that mirrored the skills students practice in the classroom each day.

Students from all 4 @SWCSD high schools had a great experience at the Junior Achievement Career Fair! They connected with professionals from a wide range of industries, explored career pathways, and practiced networking skills. It was an engaging and fun opportunity!

The Columbus Zoo visited with an opossum, owl, sloth, penguin, and more, giving students an up-close look at wildlife. The program mixed science, geography, and hands-on learning—and even included the chance to gently touch a snake!

Students in Ms. Jones’ kindergarten class were excited when their mystery reader was revealed to be Principal Mrs. Bradford-Jordan! Two fun stories had the class laughing and fully engaged while helping spark a love of reading.

We were honored to participate in Hayes Intermediate School’s annual “Amazing Shake" competition again this year! This event is a public speaking and soft skills competition for fifth and sixth grade students. It was a privilege to participate. Great job, Huskies!
