@trygraptor Hot take: it's the best Dune adaptation. The filmmaking obviously isn't as strong as the DV films and it isn't adapting a canonical story, but it really captures the spirit of Herbert's writing (both the good and the bad). Huge Heretics/Chapterhouse vibes.

finally started watching Dune Prophecy. two episodes in - and i like it! paradoxically pretty good and proves that not just anyone can be Villeneuve it’s not quite Dune to me - mix of elements from the the movies and books, interesting mash of canons Emily Watson is AMAZING

@SWFT_Edits @CalderDune Nothing wrong with analyzing the shot. I think it is a vision of Paul. I also wonder if that scene with Paul and Chani Part II timeframe, and they actually did have another child who died which brought them back together after the end of part II.

@Healer__Usul @CalderDune I mean, yeah, the shot the post is talking about. Not sure why analysing it is a problem? As I said it could be a vision or a flash-forward epilogue in which case it's cool but if not the third option is what I explained.

@Healer__Usul @CalderDune Because Chani's pregnancy is a huge part of the book and the twins are not born before close to the end. If they're born after Pt. 2 and are around as teenagers present-day, that's a giant alteration to the plot that has a ripple effect on the entire story.

Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018) keeps getting dismissed over a thirty-second origin gag, while the rest of the film just moves. Train heist, Donald Glover locking into Lando & a crew dynamic that actually clicks. It never really got judged on what it is.

@trygraptor There's a solid chance the kids are born early and they're just hiding it. Chani seems to be already pregnant in the flashbacks, Paul says "my" instead of "our" family to Jessica, and the twins' actors are included in the cast list so they are likely not just vision cameos.
