Annual Mutt Strutt & Family Fest was a success in Southwest! Glad to help judge our contestants this year! Winner: Flying Austin (with a working propeller!) 2nd Place: Back to the Future (didn’t have to hit 88 mph!) 3rd Place: Penelope (whose hat stayed on the entire time!)

As part of the Fall Family Fest, we have added a dog adoption day. Here are some of the pups who will be there on Sunday, October 13 from 12 noon to 4 pm. In addition, we will have face painting, caricatures for pets and kids, live music, food trucks, and plenty of vendors!

We can confirm that one of our members was shot early this morning in the 1200 block of Canal Street SW. The officer was monitoring a basketball game and was struck in the chest with one round. Luckily, his ballistic vest absorbed the impact and he was not seriously injured.
