This is what we are up against, I wonder if this will include buying drinks and food at racecourses or buying tickets to race meetings? Maybe racecourses will need to rethink their ‘Cashless’ policy. @BHAStewards @arenaracingco @JCvenues

@McGracing @SimonNott Is that right that one day out in the country during a race before cameras, that he missed out three fences down the back straight because no one could see them in the fog? Not sure about which course

Stopping horses to try bring off a gamble isn't the sign of a top trainer; its the sign of someone who shouldn't be allowed to be a trainer.

@joekirley @Tomptin No, don't agree at all. Many extra places, prices holding up, easier to make a profit I would say

@Tomptin Getting any profit out of the big festivals, especially Cheltenham + Royal Ascot where the racing is so competitive is a big effort. Margins are so small

For what it's worth, Cheltenham ended up producing a +3.18pts profit in the 'Tipping Tom' segment, which is solid given results & the luck of draw regarding whether your horse will be given a chance from the start. 3 Saturdays remain before the segment is exactly a year old. Will whack the P/L on here with my yearly review on the 29th.

Had a thought while watching racing yesterday. Wouldn't it be a great PR exercise for punters if BHA-Irish stewards/integrity team convened on Monday & pulled in all the trainers whose horses had shown abnormal improvement in the handicaps, win or lose. Need a big room, obviously

3 winners and a close 2nd from 4 races previewed today. One client came very close to winning a nice few quid for small stakes. Delighted for him, backed them all in singles too Optimumracing.co.uk
