One photograph - Two daughters - Three Nobel Prizes :- In a quiet image from the early 1900s, Marie Curie sits with her daughters, Irène and Ève—a serene moment of motherhood. Yet behind this tender scene lies a legacy of brilliance that would ripple across generations and disciplines. Marie Curie had already etched her name into history. She was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize and remains the only person ever awarded Nobel Prizes in two different scientific fields—Physics and Chemistry. But perhaps her most enduring legacy wasn’t just her groundbreaking discoveries. It was the values she instilled in her children: curiosity, resilience, and purpose. Irène, the elder daughter, grew up immersed in her mother’s laboratory. She watched Marie conduct experiments, ask bold questions, and pursue truth with relentless precision. That example shaped her deeply. Years later, Irène and her husband Frédéric Joliot-Curie discovered artificial radioactivity—a milestone in atomic science. Their work laid the foundation for nuclear medicine and energy, earning them the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1935. Irène didn’t just follow in her mother’s footsteps—she expanded the path. Ève, the younger daughter, chose a different road. Gifted in music and language, she became a concert pianist, then a writer and journalist. After Marie’s death in 1934, Ève penned *Madame Curie*, a biography that introduced millions to her mother’s quiet strength and scientific genius. During World War II, while Irène worked in laboratories, Ève served as a war correspondent, capturing the human spirit in times of darkness. Later, she dedicated herself to humanitarian work with UNICEF, advocating for children around the world. One daughter changed science. The other changed hearts. Both carried their mother’s legacy—not by imitation, but by embodying her values in their own unique ways. This photograph is more than a family portrait. It’s a symbol of how greatness takes many forms. Marie Curie taught her daughters that their minds were powerful tools. Irène used hers to unlock the secrets of atoms. Ève used hers to illuminate the human experience. Together, the Curie women earned three Nobel Prizes—the most awarded to any single family. But their true impact goes beyond accolades. It lives in the barriers they broke, the fields they transformed, and the generations of women they inspired to pursue their dreams, no matter the path. A century-old image still speaks volumes: excellence isn’t about following the same road—it’s about walking your own with courage and conviction. And the greatest gift a parent can give is showing a child that their unique brilliance matters. © History Pictures #archaeohistories

BREAKING: Nvidia is down 15% representing a wipeout of $450 billion! The NASDAQ is on track to lose $2 TRILLION All thanks for DeepSeek AI from China. DeepSeek is the biggest paradigm shift and single most disruptive product in a long time. It also exposes how much money is being funneled into what increasingly feels like a massive tech scam. They showed you can do AI MUCH cheaper. A few million compared to so many billions. And it’s all open source (which is a massive win for humanity!)

@SororInimicorum Sounds like he expects this current Ukraine situation to continue for a while. Long enough for America to fight a war with China at the same time. He says it is "the acme of professionalism" to have made this happen. So ... America did this on purpose. Made this war happen.

Ukrainians: sacrificed to a money-laundering scheme, dumped under fire along with the outdated U.S. weapons marked for recycling, and openly put out for slaughter to slow down Russia, while the U.S. is preparing to war w China…🙄 #UkraineWar #UkraineRussiaWar #Ukraine
Aaron Maté@aaronjmate

Ret. Gen. Keith Kellogg, ex-advisor to Mike Pence, says it's the "acme of professionalism" to use Ukraine to fight Russia because that "takes a strategic adversary off the table" without "using any US troops." And then "we can focus" on "our primary adversary, which is China."

@firstpost @palkisu An American CFO at an event I chaired recently here in New York says remote works makes it impossible to identify the next generation of leaders. How can you risk putting someone in charge when you have never had the opportunity to really get-to-know them?

#VantageOnFirstpost: Remote work has hidden economic costs. Take #NewYorkCity for example. Remote work cost them $12 billion a year! How does work-from-home lead to this? Join @Palkisu as she connects the dots.

We just took our 7-year old to see Aquaman: There's a scene shot in the hallway outside the room of CIOsynergy's October 18th CIO ATLANTA event at The Georgia Aquarium. They even showed the same whale shark. Here's the spot - look for it in the movie! drive.google.com/file/d/1tQCcUR…

Darkness at noon here in Midtown Manhattan. The canyons of New York City can be very dark on a deeply cloudy day: Today may be the darkest one I've ever seen. I hope it's nicer in Houston! See you Thursday, Houston CIOs! ciotexas.com/houston/ @ScottShuster #BestModerator

Atlanta now being such a global center of corporate and subsidiary HQs the #CIOAtlanta event becomes a cavalcade of IT management’s leading edge. Predictive analytics was a recurring theme all day, usually in the context of digital transformation. Everybody’s doing it!
