@aliciaandrz @AcademicChatter Myself and a small group of colleagues get together at the end of each semester to read our evaluations out loud to each other. It really helps put some of the comments in context. And whoever gets the highest evaluation overall buys drinks for the rest of the group :)

a tip: get a colleague or partner to read your student evaluations for you & extract the good & constructive feedback. remember that a plethora of studies show they are biased, sexist, & racist & inaccurate measures of teaching effectiveness. @AcademicChatter #AcademicTwitter

PSA: don’t read you student evals until after the holidays. I read mine on Dec 23 last year & I’m not exaggerating when I say a ten-paragraph manifesto a male student wrote degrading my course & teaching & personality ruined the holidays for me, even though the rest were glowing.
