solo cast member. A series of series of snapshots into his life, it was funny, poignant, thought-provoking, educational. The biggest issue with it was the temperature of the room, which sent at least one person to sleep. It was really warm on a very windy day! #edfringe25

Show 3 today was Exhausted Paint - the death of Van Gogh. The play I watched today won't be the same play that you see tomorrow - the order of the scenes changes every day. There is a finite amount of orders, but the number is very, very high. It was skillfully executed by it's

Show 1 today was Our Brothers in Cloth, an Irish play based on true events. This was powerful. I have no notes. I don't think I've seen anger recorded l expressed on stage in such a believable way, it was impressive. Definitely one worth spending your money on! #edfringe25

My final show yesterday was Classic Penguins. It has been tweaked a little from last year, and in a much bigger venue, but it's still a show that is very stupid in a very clever way. It's not for everyone, but it's very much for me and the people that I dragged along this year.

Show three yesterday was the flamenco extravaganza, Lola. A story told with song and dance, with minimal words required. I'm not a flamenco expert, but the dancing blew me away, the dresses were fabulous and honestly, it didn't matter that my Spanish isn't great. #edfringe25

Quick catch up with yesterday's shows - the second show was Bombshell. It was a show with a message, and they weren't scared to make sure you heard it. Three multi-talented women in the cast, the audience participation was done very well, but it feels like a work in progress.

First show today was @thepinklist It's ridiculous that I am surprised how emotional I was. But I didn't expect one man on a minimalist stage to hit my emotional triggers quite so effectively. It only has a short run, so get in quick! #EdFringe2025

Last up yesterday was the always unique Marjolein Robertson, with a well crafted mix of folk tales and stories from her life. This is the third time I've seen her, and her shows every time are bigger (in terms of audience) and better. Definitely one to watch! #EdFringe2025

Second show yesterday was the musical, Worlds Greatest Lover. This was a light, fun musical. You might gain a little knowledge about great lovers both real and fictional, and if you like musicals, you'll enjoy the music and the dancing from a very skilled cast. #EdFringe2025

I'm losing track of the days now! First show yesterday was the flying bubble man. Honestly, it was a little oasis of calm on the busiest day of the fringe so far. Great for adults and children alike - if you need a little bit of respite, you could do worse! #EdFringe2025

exceptional. This is the longest show I've been to at fringe (2 hours 15), but it flew in. I would happily watch it again, issues and all. (Work I hopefully they'll have their tech sorted now).

My final @edfringe show yesterday was Avenue Q, a puppet show unlike any other I've seen.. it wasn't without issues - tech problems (it was their first night) and a couple of last minute changes to the cast, but that only detracted slightly. The majority of the cast were

@Impromptunes was up next - my second improvised musical this year. They may not have been as seamless as the other one, but they were equally as entertaining. It's astonishing how they can create something like this on the spot AND to time. Definitely worth a watch!

Show 2 of day 3 @edfringe was ...Earnest? This show is incredibly slick considering everything that goes wrong. This is a total joy from start to finish, and the fact that a stand-in cast member clearly didn't know the most famous line made it all the better! #EdFringe2025

Day 3 of @edfringe started with @SamanthaDunne9's Strangers I Know. This deserved more laughter, but 🤞🏼 for bigger numbers as fringe progresses. As well as being funny, it was also thought-provoking and poignant. An interesting concept that deserves more exploration.

My next top tip is very much for adults only, and that's Classic Penguins by Garry Starr. I liked it so much, I'm going back this year with friends and family. Caveat: you must be ok with nudity

I want to put out a couple of recommendations for @edfringe shows I saw last year - please consider going to see the genuinely lovely @jodykamali - Ironing Board Man is completely ridiculous and yet somehow hooks you in. He also has a kids show, Mr Sleepybums Dream Machine

My final show on day two of @edfringe was Mary Queen of Rock - a musical by a local company. It's bold, it's bright, it kinda tells the story of Mary Queen of Scots, but if you look really closely you might spot a little artistic license. Fabulous - 90 minutes well spent.

Day two of @edfringe continues with the interesting Benji Waterhouse. He's not slick - but I like that. It's clear this is a side hustle to his day job as (now consultant) psychiatrist. The show, however, is well designed, interesting - and in parts shocking (no pun intended)

Next up on day two of @edfringe is The City for Incurable Women by fish in a dress. A potted history about women and hysteria. This is a relaxed performance, meaning that the audience can move and make noise, and sit anywhere - the front row is for the illustrious though!
