@EnerDF @SurgeonofDepth That’s really the only inconsistency, though then again didn’t the whole raid take place at night time and end in the morning? That fight with Kaido is probably shorter than we think as well, wouldn’t be the first time Oda time line is wonky. 7 mins was like 12 chapters in Alaba.

It seems to me that whenever luffy goes giant in gear 5, it is exactly doing that giant form that is draining his stamina. He went gear 5 against a snake earlier in the arc and was fine and same when he fought Gaban.

Like explaining how the OP world is also being affected by the newspapers distributed by Big News Morgan’s company and how it was brilliantly utilized to showcase that OP is a living world

Like idk this just doesn’t really fly as a worldbuilding argument to me cos there’s so little layering to it, the One Piece world is mostly just like 20+ distinct spaces and Oda doesn’t need to consider how they would possibly interact

The one piece fans that truly believe that the writing has gone down post-time skips are not reading One piece because in my opinion the writing has been the best Oda ever written compared to pre-time skip.

The only bit of One Piece rage bait that works on me nowadays is when people say OP’s worldbuilding is nothing more than “random places with no setup, connection or interaction” It’s so obviously not true but not obvious enough cuz I still people say it.
