@TECHdigression

I'm only here to learn, have fun, and be of peace. I've been in the film making and tech community for quite sometime even if only having a few iMDB credits.

Jesus is the Head of the Church (Eph. 5:23). Pope Leo is the head of the Roman Catholic church. Let this post stand in perpetual testimony that the RCC is not part of the Bride of Christ and the Pope has nothing to do with Jesus.
Pope Leo XIV@Pontifex

Communion between Christians and Muslims takes shape under the mantle of Our Lady of Africa. Here, in #Algeria, the maternal love of Lalla Meryem gathers everyone as children, within our rich diversity, in our shared aspiration for dignity, love, justice, and peace. In a world where division and wars sow pain and death, living in unity and peace is a compelling sign. #ApostolicJourney

@SavvyTamz_57 Communion in the literal sense, not as in the Eucharist. There's a big difference there. The Muslims would never take part in the Eucharist as is.

I am a practicing Catholic. Have been all my life, waaaayyyy over half a century. But I’ve had it with these damn popes getting political!! I couldn’t stand Pope Francis. 😤 We catholics are taught to believe that the pope is divinely chosen. That he is infallible. But I’m sorry, this one and the last one are hardly infallible. 😒 I had hopes for Leo but I had also heard that he was a liberal early on. Already, I can see he’s no better than Francis. Please, stop making Catholics feel like we have to choose. Because I’ll choose Jesus always, but you are NOT Jesus!! I will NOT change my stance on my president! I will support him, however, the one thing I CAN control? How much money I put in the kitty every week. 💰 And right now, I’m not putting ANY money in that’s intended for Rome. Until the holy father stays out of our politics, he gets not one. red. cent. from me! His job is to lead people to Christ like a shepherd, not to “pontificate” on @POTUS @DonaldTrump! @Pontifex

@MAGAMAHACindy Out of curiosity does that mean you didn't stand against any of the presidents before Trump?

More people still converted to Catholicism from other branches of Christianity. What you see is anecdotal. I don't mean that to sound superior or anything. It's just something anecdotal from you that I'm pointing out. It's not to be insulting. Yes, I am a Catholic... No, I don't hate Protestants... But man do I sure see how a lot more coming from the other end right now. All because a president disagreed with a Pope. Well a lot of Catholics often disagree with different popes. We're allowed to. Just like we're allowed to disagree with our president... Just like we all do at times

100%. My old non-denominational church would get a lot of lapsed cradle Catholics. The main reasons were because Catholicism was too complicated or just using no idea what the Church teaches. So a church where you just have to show up and click your seatbelt….sounds like paradise.

He can’t help but make things up. Apparently Catholic Converts don’t care about Christ like the Protestants who were formally Catholic. In reality, generally Catholic Converts got more serious about Christ and Protestant converts stumbled into an easier more comfortable church

When I ask audiences about how many are former RC's, about 1/4 to 1/3 normally raise their hands (more back East). Rome continues to rupture members, but, they like to pretend otherwise. And, of course, when people come out of Rome they talk about conversion to Christ, to the Gospel. When people convert to Rome they talk about conversion to...Rome, to the "Church." It is a striking contrast.

@findveritasx Or perhaps as a cradle Catholic you didn't get proper catechesis. There's a lot of Protestants that went over to the Catholic church... And then there's a lot of Catholics like me that left the Catholic Church... Went to the Protestant Church and then came back.

There's a huge difference. We don't have to agree with everything the Pope says and does. As Christians, SO SAYS THE BIBLE MY PROTESTANT FRIENDS, believe that Christ was the new Israel. When he tore the temple vail, that was it. Israel was long gone by then, and Christ fulfilled the prophecy. Israel is a new nation state less than 100 years old. It's not the same Israel. Christ is the new Israel as he was opened up to both Jews and Gentiles

It sure seems this way. I think as much as people talk about "TDS", there's group on the other side of the spectrum that will support him as if he's the second coming of Christ.

You live in an echo chamber. You choose Sunday to mock some of God's oldest Christians. You're not evenagelizing or saving souls. You're getting dopamine hits for hatred of a group in the name of God. Feel free to disagree with us, but your being very vain. The interpretation of the Gospel doesn't revolve around you. It revolves around God and the whole world

It wasn't always like this. I was a huge fan of Microsoft and Windows before they started added too much telemetry and forced bloat... But they were still stable, and you could manage your data. This past year has been a nightmare though. Something changed whether it's vibe-coding (prompting AI to do it for you) or just started hiring less qualified people... Or a combination. That's my best guess. So many random updates have been known to "brick" peoples computers just because of the update. It's a rampant problem at this point.

@TECHdigression @MicrosoftHelps @Windows My goodness, this is just beyond, how do they make this so difficult?! 😞 I am a novice (by preference) when it comes to tech, & have been rewarded in avoiding Windows any chance I can lol .. but to see how someone so versed & competent as you is getting walls & headaches ://

Thanks a lot, @MicrosoftHelps and @Windows This is too much, And happens too often across multiple devices I work on for people. My personal windows rig has fried itself... AGAIN. I'm this close to just deploying RockyOS for my editing workflow, and Bazzite for gaming

Brother, I am so burned out when it comes to Windows update shenanigans. I'm managing to pinpoint more common issues with certain model motherboards and CPUs. It seems to happen more often with a Ryzen 9900x on the B850 platform. I don't know why. I've tried newer ISOs, I've tried reverting updates only for the repair menu to fail from the windows USB, I've tried auto repair, I've tried to update the drivers in the command prompt on some that have failed... And some worked. This is awful. I'm swimming in hardware. I don't particularly want to move to a two 3 PC setup, but I'm about to. I'm about to NOT run windows on anything besides a cheap laptop for those growingly rare absolute need for windows. Linux has become so user friendly, I'm ready to dump it... Even at the expense of having my workstation dedicated to RockyOS and gaming dedicated to BazziteOS

I usually love tech and trouble shooting anything related to it. Today, I'm actually just burned out. @WindowsUpdate has screwed me so hard, so many times this year that I don't even feel like doing a new install like my PC needs. I managed to save my data, that's good enough.
