🚨🇺🇸🇬🇧🇮🇷 BREAKING: The F-15E Strike Eagle shot down over Iran was from RAF Lakenheath, UK, assigned to the 494th Fighter Squadron The F-15E is a two-seat multirole fighter carrying 23,000 pounds of bombs at 1,875 mph. A pilot up front, a weapons systems officer in the back. It's been the workhorse of this war since day one. The jet costs $31 million in 1998 dollars, closer to $100 million for newer models. It entered service in the late 1980s and is still one of the most capable strike aircraft on earth, flown by the U.S., Israel, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, and Singapore. One crew member is safe.
