Looking for 30 solo dev founders stuck on finding their first 100 customers. 20 min call. No pitch. Just listening to your story. Trying to understand the pain before building anything. DM or reply if you're in. 🛠️ #buildinpublic

@victorantos closing in on 1K is the milestone where most solo devs stall — building a tool that hand-lists early customers for dev-founders. mind if i take a shot at it for one of your products? quick first q — which one is your main focus right now, and how long?

that disconnect between platform growth and individual reach is exactly the gap most solo devs hit. building a tool that hand-lists early customers for dev-founders — "you build, i bring the customers." mind if i take a shot at it for your SaaS? quick first q — what specifically are you building right now, and how long?

@getchurnalert appreciate it — looks like your dm requests are filtered on your end, happy to keep here. first q — how long have you been on ChurnAlert, and is this full-time or side?

@The_FounderOS Exactly right. And by the time they complain it’s usually already decided. Sure send me a dm!

Nothing is more annoying than opening Stripe and seeing a cancellation you never saw coming. That’s the problem I built ChurnAlert to fix. How do you currently track which customers are at risk of leaving?

"silence, not complaints — inactivity was always the earliest sign" — that pattern is invisible until it's already costing real revenue. mind if we move to DM? hand-listing early ChurnAlert customers is literally what i'm building, and i'd like to take a shot at it for you. no pitch, no signup, just curious if it'd be useful.

@The_FounderOS Silence. Not complaints — just customers going quiet. By the time they cancelled in Stripe they’d already checked out weeks earlier. Inactivity was always the earliest sign looking back.

@brianfofficial mind if we move to DM? been building something to help dev-founders find the first 100 customers, and if you're open i'd like to hand-list some early ICP for RetentionCheck. no pitch, no signup, just curious if it'd be useful.

Recording an X demo of the connect flow. Walked through it, got dumped on a developer install page instead of the grade. PostHog had shown 0 conversions for 3 weeks, just wasn't checking the dashboard. What's your default cadence for funnel checks when solo?

I had a broken funnel for 3 weeks and didn't know it. Hero CTA: "Connect Stripe, get your grade." Reality: it dumped users on a developer install page with code blocks. No grade. No nothing. Just a green "connected" toast. Shipped the fix today. 90 minutes.

@HaykMn_iOS mind if we move to DM? if you're open, i'd like to hand-list potential EasyHabits users for you — that's literally the thing i'm building. no pitch, no signup, just curious if it'd be useful.

@The_FounderOS In that spot right now with EasyHabits — habit tracker iOS app. 1.5 years in, live on the App Store. The part that took longest to accept: my first 100 weren't going to come from the App Store search. They came from conversations like this one.

@DunnC23828 the "fake nice feedback" warning hits. did you waste a round of interviews learning that, or someone tipped you off early?

@The_FounderOS Hot take, talking to 30 is useful but you'll hear a ton of fake nice feedback. I'd ask what they already tried, where they hang out, and what they pay for now. I use Replymer just to spot the convos people actually have

Honestly too early to say — only just started talking to founders this week. From the first handful though, distribution comes up way more than PMF clarity. People shipped something, just no one's seeing it. What about you — building anything right now? DMs open if you want to swap stories.

@The_FounderOS Solid approach — listening before building is underrated. Curious what patterns you're seeing across founders: is the bottleneck usually distribution strategy or product-market fit clarity?

@AIGrowthCoach "a tool that doesn't ping you when you've gone quiet is just an expensive notebook" — that line is sharp. For growthcoach4u specifically — when you talk to potential users, do they bring up "goal-sticking" themselves, or do you have to explain why they should care?

goal apps mostly fail at the same thing: the day you don't want to show up. that's the only day that matters. a tool that doesn't ping you when you've gone quiet is just an expensive notebook

@JoshEganAI "60 days, 0.16%" — that brutal honesty hits. 15 Docker containers grinding while results don't move is its own special hell. When you looked back, what was the first signal you should've trusted earlier?

@Tanya_agrawal10 @Elevatemusicapp "6 months building. 4 days for first user. Distribution 10x harder" that ratio hit me. Same loop here. What was the channel that pushed you from 0 to that first user?
