Every pick after the 2nd round of the #NFLDraft is essentially a lottery ticket. Per @YahooSports from 2019-2023 only 15% of starters were drafted in the 3rd round. Astoundingly, this is only slightly better than the % of starters who went undrafted during the same time period 🧵

My closeted draft take is that despite absolutely no noise surrounding it, the Titans are gonna "Surprise" by taking Bain at 4. Kinda like when nobody saw the Tmac Panthers pick coming last year.

Why would you bother recruiting any freshmen that you don’t expect to be instant starters/contributors at this point? If they’re a five-star guy, sure. What purpose is there recruiting the No. 90 freshman in the class at this point? They’re just going to transfer after year one.

I charted EPA/Play on both offense and defense against wins in each of the past 4 seasons. The offensive correlation (.721) is super obvious, whereas the defensive correlation (-.448) is harder to decipher. Reinforces the point. Offense>>>>>>>>> in todays NFL.

@SharmSports @TicTacTitans It cannot be Tate at 4. All of this stuff about WR vs RB is being stated in the abstract. Sure, a random elite WR1 probably is more valuable in the long term than a RB. But, taking Corey Davis 2.0 does nothing to raise this team’s floor or ceiling.
