I'm the CEO of the Obama Foundation. The Obama Presidential Center is an $850 million project in Jackson Park on the South Side of Chicago. It will be the most expensive presidential center in American history. We are building it with unpaid volunteers. I need to explain what community engagement means. Community engagement means the community provides the labor. The volunteer program launched in March. Seventy-five to one hundred "Community Ambassadors." They lead tours. They organize events. They train other volunteers. They do not receive compensation. My salary is $740,000. The architects earned $60 million. The general contractor earned over $200 million. The Community Ambassadors gain experience in building community. That is the phrase in the recruitment materials. I approved the recruitment materials. The median household income in the surrounding census tracts is $31,000. The volunteers come from these tracts. They commute to an $850 million building to work for free while the person who approved the volunteer program earns $740,000. I am the person who approved the volunteer program. We held a volunteer appreciation event. The catering company was paid. The event planner was paid. The photographer was paid. The volunteers were thanked. Thanked is not a form of compensation. Thanked is what you receive when you are not receiving compensation. That is community engagement.

After the 3rd “stretch” in 30 min, she asked if I was gonna keep getting up. I said, “every 10 min until one of you switches… I don’t care which”. I got the window. 🤣

The last time I flew Southwest in November it was a full flight. And I was boarding in the C group. So there were only center seats. And I ended up stuck between this man and this woman both very heavy set one in the aisle, one against the window. And I had to sit between them. Which was disgusting. But what made this worse was they were traveling together. They deliberately chose the window and aisle seats so they would be more comfortable. My elbows could not touch the armrests. So not only were they rolling onto me they were talking over me. Gross.

American has a flight, he flies priority because he flies all the time, he even has A-List he flies so much Southwest is making him buy a second seat because they say he’s too large. I've been a F1 fan for a number of years off and on -- pretty much since Mario Andretti moved to F1 and won the Drivers' Championship. My interest has waxed and waned over the years, but I've been watching consistently for the past 15 years or so, the Lewis Hamilton era. What they've done to the competition this year with the engines -- 50-50 split in power between internal combustion and electricity harvesting -- is simply beyond criticism. They have combined a great advancement in the aerodynamics package, with an almost fatal blow to how the cars are powered. As someone online said, the cars sound like turbo charged hand-held hair dryers stuck on high. They made the change to entice Honda to remain as an engine manufacturer, and bring Audi into the sport as an engine manufacturer. Both companies were committed to furthering electric engine technology for their passenger car business. But through two races under the new rules, Honda has terrible reliability problems, Mercedes seems to have huge advantage in performance -- for its own team -- while the other teams it sells Mercedes engines to can't seem to figure them out. Today Mercedes finishes 1st and 2nd in China -- like it did last week in Australia -- which McLaren, who buys engines from Mercedes -- had both cars unable to start the race because of engine problems. Races in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain have been cancelled so there is a 4 week break coming up. Ditch these stupid motors, build some V12's off the shelf, modify the body specs so they will fit, and just race the cars without all the nonsense spawned by the "Green Revolution."

Virginia Democrats actually did it, they PASSED HB61 This bill prioritizes government contracts based on race and gender White People will pushed to the back of the line in consideration for government contracts, and not be considered at all for some contracts “It forces state agencies to hit a 42% quota for SWaM businesses, meaning businesses owned by minorities, women, or certain designated groups. It also sets aside government contracts under $100,000 specifically for those businesses. (Meaning White People cannot be awarded these contracts) Translation, if you're a small business owner who doesn't fall into those categories, you're pushed to the back of the line, not because of price or quality or experience, but because of race and gender quotas. That's not equality. That's state-mandated discrimination in government contracting, and it's happening right here in Virginia”
