All videos were human-reviewed and ad-safe. Then Oct 23rd: Removed from YPP: harmful content involving minors. I didn't even receive an email. ZERO MINORS IN MY VIDEOS. Marked “Not for kids” 97% 18+ audience 100% fictional animation I panicked and changed titles/tags but no clue what’s flagged Appeal & support buttons? BROKEN. @TeamYouTube @YouTubeCreators @YouTube this is the same AI glitch hitting @endermanch , @ToadBup64, and dozens of other creators. This is my only income. I upload exclusively to YouTube. YouTube can change demonetization reasons after appeal? @TeamYouTube First it was “Harmful content involving minors” A month later, after review, they changed it to “Misleading family content” No explanation. And nowhere in the rules does it say they can just change the reason like this. I contacted support and asked a simple question: how is this even possible? Their answer was basically nothing. “We have no visibility.” “We can’t explain.” “Decision is final” So what does this mean? Reasons can be changed at any time There is zero transparency Support can't explain it Asking questions that go unanswered = risk of a 30-day ban on contacting customer support Is this normal now? Hello, @TeamYouTube @YouTube. What is happening on your platform right now is a nightmare. We understand that YouTube, as a multibillion-dollar company, is focused on making a profit. But please do not forget the creators who spent years filling this platform with content, growing it, and bringing in audiences. Without creators, YouTube would not have become what it is today. The problem of mass waves of demonetization needs to be addressed urgently. Why are original creators, who make unique content and invest their ideas, time, and effort into it, being left without income? Why is the platform pushing away the very people who help it grow? There used to be a clear and fair balance between creators and YouTube: we created content, you provided the platform, and the revenue was shared between both sides. But what is happening now is destroying that trust. Please do not stay on the sidelines. Start listening to creators and pay attention to this problem before it is too late. After I submitted my appeal, it still received not a single view. This means the appeal I put my time and effort into was not even watched, and it was simply rejected without any real review. We do not want to spend months paying the price for a bot’s mistake in a problem we had nothing to do with! @WonderfulJohnx was demonetized as an animator on YT "harmful content involving minors", within a week my views double, then quadruple and stay there. this is really what they are doing. they demonetize me for "harmful content" and then show it to 5x more people.

My first channel was terminated on August 16 The official email stated the reason was “Circumventing Service Safeguards” If this decision is legitimate and accurate, then prove it @TeamYouTube Provide the name or URL of the channel you claim my channel was “linked” to, and explain how that connection violated your policy Do not point to my other channels because those were terminated after this one • One on August 21 • Another on October 22 A channel cannot be terminated for being “linked” to channels that did not even exist as violations yet This is a simple request: Show the evidence Name the channel Explain the violation If you’re confident in your decision, this should be easy.

Don’t we deserve to know why YouTube didn’t send any warnings before these terminations? Some creators’ mental health has seriously deteriorated because of sudden, wrongful shutdowns with no warning and no proper review. If warnings aren’t given, then at the very least, appeals should be reviewed and responded to

I’ve been seeing a lot of people get straight TERMINATED on youtube, and i never see a case where someone gets banned for a week or 2 weeks anymore. What happened to strikes? Why is that after I got my 1 week ban they terminated my account 2 days later? This is really frustrating and I don’t know what to do, i’m stuck in life, depressed, and stressed out all because of youtube. I know it sounds crazy but it’s true, and needs to come to a stop. @TeamYouTube Please help, my mental health is going down the drain.

I’ve seen far worse content and pranks on YouTube that are still allowed without any issues. That’s why it’s hard to believe this channel was taken down for something like this. This clearly shows there’s a serious flaw in YouTube’s AI moderation system.

🚨Something dangerous is happening on YouTube. Creators are being falsely banned by AI for spam, harassment, and policies they never violated with appeals rejected in minutes. YouTube’s AI Terminated My Channel, And I Proved It Was Wrong in this video, along with other cases Hello Youtube Team (@TeamYoutube), My channel was terminated for “harassment or cyberbullying.” I never harassed, targeted, stalked, or bullied anyone. I’ve shown every clip, every consent form, and every verbal consent recording. Nothing violates the policy. I believe this decision was made in error. My content is fully consensual, lighthearted, and does not include harassment, threats, targeting, insults, or bullying of any kind. All participants involved in the flagged videos provided verbal and written consent, and the content was created with no malicious intent. I have never engaged in repeated harassment or abusive behavior. I respectfully request a full human review that considers context, consent, and intent, as I am confident my channel complies with YouTube’s harassment policy. This has been the most mentally draining, stressful, and depressing time of my 19 years of living on this planet. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. Yes. If you smoke weed daily you are a drug addict. I don’t care if you think you are a high functioning stoner. Once you smoke you are impaired for the rest of the day and the negative cognitive effects over the long term are well documented.

You're right that over 12 million channels have been terminated this year, but it varies. For example, 20.5M channels were terminated in Q4 2023 alone. Channels terminated doesn’t = Creators terminated, sometimes a scammy account can have hundreds of channels. This quarter, the spike in terminations was largely due to specific financial scam out of Southeast Asia that led to millions of terminations. Regarding your channel, human reviewers on our policy team confirmed your channel was correctly terminated.
