Good public transport is far more convenient than driving
Every transit nerd — the urbanist who tell us over and over how much they love public transportation— has to realize until you stop this sort of crap, and make stopping it your number one goal, you and all your train love are doing nothing but annoying everyone else.
suburbanites will drive 22 minutes to sit inside a chili's that's surrounded by nine acres of parking lot and then call my neighborhood "inconvenient" because the meter costs a dollar seventy five. the lack of self-awareness is almost performance art at this point
@EleanaLittle One argument that this bill wouldn't raise costs was that builders could switch from glass curtain wall to masonry and brushed metal. But the nonprofit developer estimated costs of about $3000 per apartment for this not-very-glassy building. Can't reduce costs by reducing glass.
