@TwilioHelp can't get access to sendgrid... can't contact support because you need to log in to do so... just going round in circles and issue not being fixed.

Don't want to overstate this but 20-minute highlights of every Premier League game in history, free and on demand, means that this should be a national holiday.

When results are not going your way, it’s natural to see things through a more negative lens. Many #AstonVilla fans right now are understandably frustrated. They see a flat team, with players lacking confidence, and results are not good.
So an alternative, more positive, perspective may not be the one they most want to hear. But here it goes
The team, limited by the finances everyone knows about which cannot be forgotten, collapsed after their regular centre midfielders got injured. But McGuinn might return for the Lille game and Tielemas for the second leg or even before. And when they do, Morgan Rogers can stop doing everything as he is trying now, and focus, which will bring a much better Rogers, #AVFC best player.
I feel Unai Emery looks at difficulties as obstacles to beat, challenges. So his energy multiplies. He is convinced the solutions he has applied in the past, with their multiple variations, still work for this team. And so far, that way of working has worked for him at Villa
Europe will be for this next round (and I am sure more rounds) a place of excitement and success.
That for the short and medium term.
And for the long term… It is clear this team has given a lot, some recycling might be needed. And if that happens, I am sure Olabe/Emery have identified players, half a dozen, perhaps even more, that can come within budget, with new energy, new traits that can help the structure. It is important to play in the Champions League next season to bring those of higher quality.
And with that, Unai will also renew his own energies and continue the adventure in Birmingham, which I am convinced is the best for him and for the club.
Can you look at the picture from a little bit of emotional distance and apply some logic? Not easy, I know, but you have enough reasons from past experiences to trust the process

The only negative of Villa being near the summit is coming on here and seeing every Gen Z football illiterate saying how much bigger their club is and damning Villa with faint praise like some puppy.
In the history of English football there's Liverpool and Manchester United who are significantly bigger. The rest are either corrupt rich, or stat padded minor European trophies and who haven't won the European Champions Cup as Champions of England.
In 151 years, Aston Villa Football Club have spent 70% of their existence in the top half of the top flight. For comparison, Leeds United have spent 50% of their existence in tier 2.
Any start to finish ( of English football, not 20 arbitrary "corrupt rich" years) historical top 4 includes Aston Villa Football Club. And it would take 50 years outside ghe top flight to change that.

There was a collective display of anger and frustration at Villa Park from two clubs who believe they are being unfairly treated in their fight against the legacy Big Six #nufc #avfc telegraph.co.uk/football/2025/…

@YouMeAnd1939 I agree that clubs like Villa, Forest and Newcastle are on the wrong side of history when it comes to PSR. The rules were introduced to prevent a NEW Chelsea or City challenging the established elite. They have nothing to do with either profitability or sustainability.

Man City spent over £100mil already in this transfer window. Meanwhile Villa is told to make significant sales to suit the rules while City have broken those rules!
With 115 charges they should've had a transfer embargo until the case was resolved.
The Premier League is bottling this case and I can just tell nothing will happen to City and will walk out of that court room knowing they've gotten away with breaking the rules! #AVFC

Things in modern football that I just can't understand: Aston Villa seemingly needing to sell players for PSR reasons. #avfc been a huge success story for last two seasons, have wealthy owners and clear plan to compete. But because of arbitrary number they might have to trade. #nufc progress hamstrung in similar way... while other clubs invest despite failure on the pitch. Madness

If Jhon Duran receives a further ban having already being given a 3 game ban and the impact it had on the #NUFC game then I really don’t know what to say.
Cunha got a 2 game ban for what he did, Joao Pedro got nothing.
Would feel ludicrous for any further action to be taken beyond what’s already happened and would feel like #AVFC being picked on.
