Just informed that I'm expelled from my DSA chapter. With no option to appeal. Take "Democratic" out of the name because this is textbook fascism.

@HamjaAhsan Stalin initially supported the creation of Israel when he thought he could use it, and then when Israel aligned itself with the west, his view reversed. Trotsky warned from the beginning against Zionism and the bloody toll it would lead to for both Jewish and Arab workers.

I was a Bernie believer in 2016, it’s how I got into leftist politics initially. Seeing everyone reminiscing about how badly he fucked us all over by being a doormat for the Democratic Party makes me sick

However, as long as that opposition is tied to the rotten and corrupt Democratic Party, no progress can be made.

@Ansel_Communist I once held some hope that after the RCI rebrand when they inevitably went back to their opportunist ways it would shake some of their membership awake but they went through that whole Your Party flip flopping and barely anyone batted an eye

There is a noticeable smug aloofness among the pseudo-left about the No Kings protests. Yes it lacks any coherent aims and is organized by liberals, which is why it is so important for socialists to intervene with concrete goals. Millions of Americans will be on the streets today

@TrotBot4 Trotskyists need to adopt the free zines method, I see this as a super viable option to do outreach, but it's so lacking. The Transitional Program, etc etc, put into a zine, thrown out like candy at these protests.

@mtnsyndicalist Such anger has to be given class conscious form and that’s not going to be achieved by sitting in an ivory tower. Of course there will be hostile elements there but there will also be a lot of workers looking for a way to fight against fascism and war

@mtnsyndicalist Nobody besides liberals actually thinks that the occasional protest is going to change things. Just look at the Gaza protests trying to appeal to the ruling class to stop Israel’s genocide all falling flat. It does however reflect growing social anger
