The problem is the Sunni shield surrounding Israel. There is a reason Israel waited until Syria became a Zionist state before doing this.
Iranian and Iraqi forces don't have a land route to Israel anymore. Neither does Yemen. Iraq and Yemen would need to slaughter their way through the Sunni armies of Saudi and Syria to get to Israel.
They could do it and it would be achievable. However, the price would be too high to pay. Also, it would give the Sunni world an excuse to rally around the Sunni states and Israel.

I genuinely don't know what the IDF thinks they're doing... They control NONE of the hills surrounding this facility. This hill has no buildings for cover, just a bunch of booby trapped bunkers and tunnels. Attacking it head on is literal suicide, and the constant airstrikes and artillery shelling has not seemed to have stopped Hezbollah attacks from Nabatieh, or rocket launchers from rear Hezbollah positions.

@haj_naghi بله قطعا نتانیاهو تا موعد انتخابات اسرائیل به هر قیمتی از موضعش در لبنان کوتاه نخواهد آمد، اما میبایست با این اهرم بازی کرد تا شرایط در لبنان فریز شده و نتواند دستاوردی در لبنان تا موعد انتخابات کسب کند.

At the heart of the Ali al-Taher hill, overlooking Nabatieh in Lebanon, there is a one-kilometer tunnel containing a command center and warehouses of strategic weapons.
Since the start of the ceasefire, Israel has made several night attempts to occupy this base, none of which have been successful.
The tank that was struck last night by Lebanese Hezbollah forces, resulting in the deaths of 4 IDF terrorists, was about 300 meters from the entrance to this base.
It seems this is the same well-known Imad-4 underground facility.
Capturing and destroying this base is undoubtedly one of the achievements that Netanyahu is seeking in Lebanon.
