A qualified buyer list is EXTREMELY VALUABLE when it comes to sales. Why would the United States, the largest consumer base in the World, NOT charge a premium to sell in our Country? 🤔

That 🚨post is going around, but here’s what’s actually happening with Trump, Iran, and energy prices as of May 28, 2026: Trump on Iran: "Not blinking" Trump has publicly said he’s prioritizing the military operation over gas prices. When asked about rising prices at the pump, he told Reuters: "I don't have any concern about it... They'll drop very rapidly when this is over, and if they rise, they rise, but this is far more important than having gasoline price go up a little bit." He’s said the timeline for the U.S.-Israel campaign against Iran is 4-6 weeks, though it’s now been 3 months since strikes began Feb 28. He also said he’s not looking to tap the Strategic Petroleum Reserve and believes the Strait of Hormuz will stay open. Gas prices right now Gas has jumped hard since the war started: • Before war (Feb 28): $2.98/gal regular • Current national avg: ∼$4.50/gal regular, $4.49/gal as of Tuesday. AAA put Monday at $4.04/gal. • California: $6.11/gal • Diesel: $4.33/gal nationally, up 15% in a week, with warnings it could hit $6-$7/gal Americans have paid ∼$45B in extra fuel costs since the war began. Trump’s "major plan" for household energy prices The White House has floated several options, but nothing “major” has fully launched yet: What’s been discussed/done: 1. Federal gas tax holiday + looser ethanol rules for summer gas blends 2. Jones Act waiver: In March, Trump waived the century-old shipping law to let foreign ships move fuel between U.S. ports. But Reuters analysis says it’s had little impact on prices so far due to high shipping rates and low volumes moved 3. Futures market intervention: Treasury is weighing a plan using oil futures, but no announcement yet 4. Insurance/reinsurance for Gulf shipping: Trump ordered the U.S. International Development Finance Corp to provide insurance against losses from conflict in the Gulf. Friday the admin announced reinsurance up to $20B to bolster oil/gas shipper confidence 5. Strategic reserves: Working with IEA to release 400M barrels globally, including 172M from U.S. reserves What Trump/admin are saying about the plan: • Interior Sec. Doug Burgum claimed at a May 27 Cabinet meeting that Trump’s “energy dominance” policies are helping “keep the price of gas down at home” • Trump told reporters gas will “come down a lot. It’ll come down to where it was before” • Energy Sec. Chris Wright said $3 gas “could happen later this year, that might not happen until next year”. Trump said Wright is “totally wrong” and prices drop “as soon as this ends” • White House spox: “When the President forces this conflict to a successful end, gas prices will drop back to multi-year lows and global energy markets will be much more stable” The Gary Franchi / NextNews angle I can’t pull live video from @trumpdailyposts or NextNews to verify Franchi’s exact “inside scoop.” Based on recent White House Correspondent reporting from that outlet, they’ve been covering the options above — tax holiday, Jones Act waiver, SPR releases — as Trump’s plan. But no single new “major plan” beyond those has been formally announced in the last 48 hours. Why prices are still up The Strait of Hormuz — 20% of world oil flow — has been shuttered/attacked. Brent hit $110/barrel, WTI $99. Analysts are skeptical how much the White House can do while fighting blocks Middle East exports.

@ItsTheEnforcer We need the strait until we diversify our renewable energy sources At this rate, investing in renewable energy is looking like a cheaper national security goal than continuing to rely on unstable oil supplies half a world away

@TrumpDailyPosts I am starting to think the enriched Uranium has a source not local to Iran. Possibly American, Chinese or Russia. 🤔

Nope. Not true. You would have to trust their word on the enrichment percentage (they were caught lying multiple times)…AND the inspectors didn’t inspect everything - only what the Iranians let them inspect (read the IAEA reports), AND they lied on the amount of heavy water they had (IAEA reports prove this), AND they lied about the number of centrifuges they had (Israeli locker discovery proved this). You don’t even understand what you are posting.
Brian Krassenstein@krassenstein

FACT: Obama did this and actually got them to stop enriching uranium past 3.67%, with inspectors on the ground and cameras on the centrifuges. Trump tore that up.

@Hsheriffh2o @XFreeze They were fired because they couldn't describe what their role was. 🤔 I've never had a job where I couldn't explain what I did or why I was important to the process.

@XFreeze Great philosophy. Too bad DOGE just mass fired thousands of government workers for the 'failure' of simply existing in their roles. Incentives drive outcomes unless the outcome is inconvenient for you.

Elon Musk: "If you punish people too much for failure, then they will respond accordingly, and the innovation you will get will be very incrementalist Nobody's gonna try anything bold for fear of getting fired or being punished in some way. So risk-reward must be balanced and favor taking bold moves, otherwise it will not happen"

@XFreeze Hmm… This is coming from the guy who fired half of the former Twitter staff? There may have been reasons for that, but… I really don’t like the phrase “you can’t punish people too harshly” — it’s not like we live in the 13th century to be saying things like that.
