We're hopeful that those with concerns about ABR will take the next step to contact the board office so that we can arrange for the collegial discussions needed to ensure these concerns are appropriately heard.

The ABR board appreciates the show of support for the ABR from many in the radiology community. We kindly request that those submitting complaints to Twitter about Not the ABR posts discontinue doing so to honor their right to freely express their concerns.

You are free to express your opinions. We are not trying to track you down and have not hired any security firm to investigate you. We would love to have a face-to-face conversation with you about the ABR so we can improve our processes.

@NotABR From ABR: ABR exams are NOT graded on a curve, as was implied by some previously posted graphs. We use criterion-referenced scoring, so that all candidates could pass if they have adequate performance. There is no set pass/fail rate for any of our exams.

@NotABR From Valerie Jackson, ED of the ABR: We want to correct the misinformation that has been posted recently about the Diagnostic Radiology Core Exam. The fail rate for first-time takers for the June 2018 exam was 13.0%. The average fail rate for the past 6 years is 10.1%.
