Thune could switch his position at any time. In fact, if/when this were to happen, what unfolds next could happen extremely fast. I realize that most take what they're seeing on face value, that he's a dickwad standing in the way of saving our Republic...And by all appearances, he is. But many of us believe there's a low-key strategy in play...and all timed to coincide with riding a wave of momentum caused by having passed it, and just in time to have its provisions implemented for the election. Theoretically, were this strategy in play, Thune, currently paying the heel, could nuke the filibuster (to a simple majority), then pass the SAVE America Act that the House already voted for and get it to the President's desk the same day. Not saying this is how it will play out, but things are set up nicely for this to occur (in some fashion) if indeed this was the agreed-upon path ahead of time. Trump is wily like that. And in the end, does it matter how it gets done, so long as it does?

The filibuster will be nuked and the SAVE America Act will pass. Bookmark it.

I had Gary as a possible player for Looney's seat and he would probably be a safer play as Duff is as unfiltered as a sailor on leave in the Philippines.

An argument can be made that the Supreme Court views South Carolina’s current congressional maps as unconstitutional precisely because they were drawn with race as the predominant factor. Just as the Blaine Amendment sought to embed religious discrimination into our constitutional framework, these maps embed racial discrimination into our electoral system. Both are immoral. The remedy is the same: we must immediately purge every vestige of race-based decision-making from our statutes, our maps, and our body of law. Equal protection under the law is not optional — it is foundational. South Carolina should lead by example and adopt color-blind districting that respects communities of interest, not racial quotas.

@MichaelRCaputo I’m very sorry. I’m amazed at the lengths to which “strict constitutionalists” are going to support the continued violation of our sacred 4th amendment.

FISA is a travesty and must be gutted, but that’s just the opinion of a man whose family was destroyed by the weaponization of FISA. I will soon find out if I’m under a FISA warrant right now. No kidding: Republican are actually considering reauthorizing a surveillance law that’s actively weaponized against citizens during their consideration. We live in the upside down.

During my time as a Trump political appointee at DOJ, I discovered my bureaucrat colleagues at the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia were actively surveilling me in a secret, Prohibited Access FBI investigation. Their offices were next to mine. We rode elevators together, shared the same coffee machine. I quit after I found out. Similarly, they spied on @TheWiseJared in his DOJ office until a month ago, when he quit. THIS IS NOT OVER PEOPLE.

DeSantis has been the best Governor I’ve seen in my lifetime. Term is near an end now though so if I’m Trump, I’d replace Alito with DeSantis. Then we get an actual, confirmable, conservative replacement who we don’t have to worry about. He’d do great and be a legendary justice.
