Why digital autographs had to wait until today? Thanks to @BennyGiang and team, a new token standard, @erc6551, was recently introduced. TL;DR: NFTs can now OWN other NFTs In this case, the "hat" NFT owns the "autograph" NFT If you trade the hat, the autograph comes with it.

This is pretty big news for NFTs - Fortnite is adding special in-game items specifically for holders of Nike's NFTs (.Swoosh). Fortnite averages about 25 million daily active users. We're about to see a lot of mainstream exposure to NFTs even if they don't realize it.

Someone just took a $14,500 loan on two Rolexes at 12% APR from a complete stranger all on-chain The Rolexes were sent to an escrow company who then sent back NFTs representing ownership of the watches The borrower can then use those NFTs to tap into global liquidity rather than taking a predatory loan at their local pawn shop If they default? The lender can use the NFTs to redeem the watches One of the most obvious and easy to understand use cases of NFTs
