I can only rely on Tassi and comparative other AAA budgets as reference points for that data. Is there a small chance those figures aren’t pinpoint accurate? Sure absolutely. Even at the low end of $100M, which is unlikely as it spent 3 years in development hell and 3 more refining it into the game it became now, it still lost at least $50M+. That…is…very rough. Like genuinely that is heartbreaking. Brutal. Sony is so in not a good spot with closing down studios I just can’t trust them to pour more money here…

This is the copium many are talking about. Love whatever you want, play whatever you like. But if you want to really dig this to a brutal core: - Sony spent $3B on Marathon and potentially D3, hoping that D2 would do enough to print for a bit. - Bungie budgeted out $200M+ (generous low figure here). - Marathon made back close to $50-55M in raw sales (keep in mind consoles weren’t ever close to being its bigger player base.) - Sony is closing down studios RAPIDLY for literally NOT losing money. - It has lost players and among what small base it has, microtransactions aren’t going well either. What part of this is supposed to convince Sony to double down and spend MORE to get more when consumers made their choice? Marathon is doomed. You can’t lose $100M and survive. That isn’t at all how this works.

Marathon is literally Sony’s best multiplayer game. hit #1 in US sales and #2 global before/after launch, with great reviews, and a playerbase of superfans after barely a month. it’s beating the competitors for paid shooters, and closing the gap behind Arc. definitely “A Hit”

Hate to break the news but…losing players isn’t stable. Also, Sony did close a studio down again this week for like the 10th time in so many years. Do you actually trust Sony to make less ruthless decisions here? It lost hundreds of millions.

Is Marathon the hit Sony wanted it to be? Probably not. Would Sony be stupid to shut down servers when it has a stable playerbase that could bring in passive income for years to come if they let it thrive? Yes.

Umm. That would mean your dad was 38 before he could legally date your mom at 18. I mean look age is always a controversial topic but one fact I always turn to is not just legal age, because countless countries say 14 or even younger are adults. Until the brain is fully and completely developed, I won’t ever think of any younger than 24-25 as an adult. How can we consider adults 18 years old when the brain isn’t even developed?

Once you're 18, you make your own choices. My mom and dad had a 20 year gap and still had 25 years of marriage. It didn't work out though eventually because the age did catch up with them, but still got 3 kids out of it and both are doing okay afterwards. I think no matter what relationship you go into there are always risks and things that can clash, even if you're the same age. It's unpredictable and a leap of faith. 20 and 24 isnt' bad at all Though I can admit some stuff is fweaking weird when there's a bigger gap but I just grew up differently so it's normal for me

im truly disappointed in this community once again. as someone who was a victim of bullying from elementary to early high school, it is NEVER okay to tell someone to off themself. one sentence is all it takes, one bad day, one inconvenience and that person might do it. this community is supposed to be welcoming and supportive, can we please start being kinder to each other?
