@GoodMicWork A new Director of Show Production and Design was recently hired by WWE, so something could be on the horizon...

AEW had a world title match tonight on a fucking golf course and it ruled. Their Fairway To Hell setup got me thinking about the lack of variety in WWE and a few simple ideas that would do wonders for their shows. Biggest issue I have is there's nothing to differentiate between Raw and SD. One show is red, one show is blue. THAT'S IT. The TV production is just TOO fucking streamlined. It's cost-effective to be that way so yay for them, but they possess the ability to do so much more. They just don't. Like how hard would this be: For Raw, keep everything pretty much the way it is now with a few touchups - or design a modern updated version of their set from around 2000. Tron, stage, ramp descending down. Or no ramp. Doesn't matter. Hard rock intro. Lasers and red shit everywhere. For SmackDown, reposition the hard cam to face the entrance and do a modernized version of one of those long ramps from the entrance straight to the ring. Hip Hop intro. Lasers and blue shit everywhere. You could do more, but those simple changes would add so much individuality to these shows and you could build from there as you go. They'd feel different and the talent would have to adjust accordingly to the different setups and environment. The viewers at home get different POV's from each show. Right now the uniformity of the product is just so BLAND. This would help that. All of this of course would require money, more work, and might even create a job or two in TKO so I can pretty much shove these ideas up my keister.
