since racism towards asians was a big topic recently at the world cup: this shit i'd expect in elementary school at lunchtime. i am so sick and tired of being made fun of. This time, not only just my culture, but also my hobby, cooking. waking up in a bad mood, how great.

@iam_biglad1 Except billionaires don't live in $300,000 houses.. and if they're billionaires, that means their net worth, or total ownership of assets is in the billions. 60k is a mere .6% of 1B, and they probably make that in dividends. Highest property tax in the country is under 2% btw

Billionaires don’t have billions in cash sitting around to pay taxes. The wealthy hold stocks, estate and pay taxes only on income. Imagine your home is worth $300,000 and the government wants 20% tax or $60,000 because it’s paid off. If you don’t have the cash, you’re going to need to sell your home. And if everyone sells their assets to pay taxes, you’re looking at a major crash in prices.
