@Karl_poyzer @ClassyDogFilms The extension cable was a bit squished and bent out of shape. Removed it, plugged in the cable straight from the PSU as it reached the GPU anyway, so far it hasn’t shat itself again. That’s about it. 💁🏻‍♂️ I’d also moved my PC a bit recently so may have just been loose connections.

@_September87_ @ClassyDogFilms How did you identify it was an iffy cable in the end?

I know there are probably 100000 possible reasons for this, but in the last week or so, Blender has been crashing, and restarting my computer during Cycles renders. Happens on last two versions of Blender. RTX4090. Any obvious stuff I might have missed?

@Karl_poyzer @ClassyDogFilms This happened to me yesterday, GPU kept freezing up my computer, disappearing from Device Manager on restart. Was a dodgy extension cable from the PSU. 👌🏻

@ClassyDogFilms Yeah it’s occurred to me that it only started after I moved office so I’m wondering if I knocked something when I moved it. It’s a brand new computer so I doubt it’s anything aging too badly. Not much of a computer person so no idea where to start haha

Update: Sooo… that September 87 TV show we’ve been working towards is finally getting pitched to the networks and such in LA in January. Been developing the pitch with a studio in LA for ages now. This stuff takes a while! Let you know how we go!

@TheMidnightLA I’d hold off still. I had to wipe my drive and reinstall Catalina last night cos Ventura completely BORKED a few Logic X plugins. Some Roland cloud synths and OP-X pro II specifically.

Hey music nerds! Is it safe to update my OS from Catalina 10.15.7 to whatever is the current MacOS? I’m thinking specifically for use with Logic Pro X. Let me know!
