I think this is the last big test render before I start working on the actual shots in the Titanfall short film. You'll have to add your own sound effects in your head, though. Rendered in #b3d with Eevee, using the free motion blur add-on by Andrey Sokolov @so_records_rus .

Impressive work from @CorridorDigital, Niko vibe coded the best one click green screen tool in the industry. Handles transparency through liquids, opaque material, demixes colour that was affected by the green. All trained on 400gb dataset. And open sourced!

@yonas_s_seyoum I totally agree, and thank you for providing such a specific reference! I've been working on a rig that can capture larger scale fabrics like this, so it's on the horizon :)

@ClassyDogFilms That would be great! I’m always amazed by the quality of your scans :) One type of texture that’s surprisingly hard to find is fabric folds like this. They’re really useful for things like bedsheets and tarps.

@dizziless Yes, that is a difficult one to capture, but a fun challenge. I'll be on the lookout!

@KhanhVu_Art Hello, Khanh! This happens to me, too. So far, the only solution I've found is to physically move the original object to a location where it won't be seen in the camera, which isn't ideal but usually works in most situations.

@ClassyDogFilms Great tip, been using this for a while. One issue I run into though, is the original objects overlap the instanced objects spawned from the instancing, at least for the first set, so it creates shading issues. Have you encountered this as well?

Getting back into making videos. Here's a quick one: how to use an array modifier on multiple objects at once (and more) #b3d

@ClassyDogFilms Usually I use a lattice but It’s hard to control the re-displacement amount. Just storing the initial mesh points offset and restoring it after shrink wrapping, super simple really.

We have a new FREE tool coming soon - perfect for 3D environments 🌎 But we need your help naming it! It can 'wrap' a 3d scan of bricks, terrain, surfaces etc, onto a base mesh without the flattening classic shrink-wrap methods usually cause. 🏔️ We're thinking something like Mesh Wrap.....Terrain Wrap....Any better ideas? 💡

@m_schuetz I've been hoping this would become a possibility soon- it would be a powerful alternative to using traditional 2D textures for many materials like grass, small plants and long-stranded textiles.

This seems really cool: yunfan.zone/gswt_webpage/ Using gaussians for seamless tiling of vegetation over wide areas could work out really nice for games.

@gleb_alexandrov I love it! It reminds me of playing with the first camcorders I bought. At the time it was maddening, but now, like many older mediums, it has a nostalgic and endearing quality.

@letkma Wow, I will have to try that! I've recently become interested in learning how to train my own AI models for my projects, but maybe delighting is one task that other AI models can already do well enough.

@ClassyDogFilms I haven't tried photogrammetry yet, but one thing I saw it do is remove shadows and that seemed super super handy instant flatten to diffuse map from photo, while keeping the UV perfectly laid out!

nano banana pro understands PBR texture maps so I just drew in the most basic two colour mask for where I wanted tape, baked that with lighting, and then asked it to draw in all the rest of the textures and details and it just... worked

another example where it crops and flattens things pretty well any rando google images input -> flat, straight output it's a little bit funny, but certainly close enough to save tons of manual photoshop labour

@reynantem @cristobalvila @quackarooners Sorry for the late reply @reynantem ! Mine is a little bit different, though it's just cobbled together from parts of different YouTube tutorials, so I won't pretend to understand how it works or if it's even physically accurate. Here's a screen shot.
