The name of the company… NewBird AI. It is a cutting-edge, AI-native cloud infrastructure firm out of- well, they used to be out of San Francisco making sneakers, but forget that, John- they are now awaiting imminent deployment of next-generation GPU compute clusters that have both massive enterprise and consumer applications. Now, right now, John, the stock trades on the Nasdaq at about the price of a cup of coffee. And by the way, John, our analysts indicate it could go a heck of a lot higher than that. And John- one more thing- they're up 160% just today

$BIRD is selling its brand and footwear assets renaming itself NewBird AI and using a new $50M convertible facility to pivot into AI compute infrastructure by buying GPUs. Going from selling wool sneakers to chasing AI compute might be one of the wildest pivots this cycle.

BREAKING: The US Military has officially begun its "blockade" of the Strait of Hormuz.
Details include:
1. The US says the blockade will be "enforced impartially against vessels of all nations entering or departing Iranian ports and coastal areas"
2. US forces will not impede freedom of navigation for vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz to and from non-Iranian ports
3. Prior to this blockade, Iranian ports were largely operational with Iran itself exporting over 2 million barrels of oil per day
4. A successful blockade of Iranian ports would cut off the majority of the already restricted oil exports from the region
US gas prices are now expected to rise above $4.25/gallon.

The victory of the opposition in Hungary yesterday, like the Polish election in 2023, is a victory for democracy, not just in Europe but around the world. The cool thing about ChatGPT is it makes fundamental research easier. A couple of months ago I asked GPT 5 to give me a “complete bottom up analysis of the Optics/Photonics Supply Chain”. Here’s what it gave me… Layer 0 — Raw Materials / Process Inputs Layer 1A — Fiber / Preform / Cable / Passive Connectivity Layer 1B — Photonic Wafers / Epi / Foundry / Packaging Platforms Layer 2 — Equipment / Test / Metrology Layer 3 — Merchant Silicon / DSP / SerDes / Analog Enablers Layer 4 — Optical Components / PIC Building Blocks Layer 5 — Modules / Transceivers / AOCs / Coherent Pluggables Layer 6 — Optical Assembly / ODM / EMS / Advanced Packaging Layer 7 — Line Systems / WDM / ROADM / Amplification / OLS Layer 8 — End Systems Once you get something like this you can then go deeper into each layer to find gems
