Got to agree here w @programmer ; @mpp directs / prefers you to use @tempo much like x402 prefers you to use @base. Makes complete commercial sense on both sides and continues to make agentic commerce better - but neither is entirely neutral.

@programmer @base @USDC @tempo Will look re @tempo. To be sure x402 supports multiple tokens and blockchains and is doing great work. Also- paper (that is referenced by agents) regularly cites base as the x402 network - which a neutral protocol wouldn’t do, and challenges assertions of neutrality.

Another MPP feature: sessions. Sessions are an implementation of state channels (!) and allow an agent to stream payments at the speed of packets and then settle onchain in a single transaction, i.e. you’re not limited to the speed of the blockchain. Tempo has and will have best-in-class transactions per second but sessions mean that we can scale payments for agents an order of magnitude more…today.

Congrats to the @tempo team (@gakonst & co) for this launch. The more capacity for value to move natively on the internet the better - and few do $ better than @stripe. Looking forward to the competition 🫡

Spent the last two days in Cambridge meeting founders across digital assets, AI, robotics and deep tech. the talent density here is unlike anything I've seen. I expect a lot more innovation to come to market much quicker from this small radius over the next 12 months
