@seltzerprincess I lost the ability to do very VERY basic self-maintaining things for myself and spent the last two winters in dry apartment hell being like “ugh yeah I can’t breathe, oh well” and my sister was like “here’s a humidifier, you dumb bitch” and indeed, it helps

and yes, financial and psychological and emotional abuse exist. you don't have to r-pe or sexually assault someone for it to constitute abuse. coercive control, manipulation, dishonesty, and power imbalance are ALL part of men's violence against women.
