@ace_malad @xenumonero they are an SF based corpo they could have done it in a few days but they had years to set their priorities, for a global online product the impact would be immediate but your work is also incredible and makes us all wish we lived in idaho or everywhere had a store like yours

@xenumonero I understand the frustration with Kagi dropping xmr support, but their reasoning isn't outlandish. It took me a month to figure out xmr acceptance at my store. In the year and four months that we have accepted xmr directly, there have only been 3 transactions with it.

@xenumonero Yes, I agree. The market is different, and they SHOULD accept Monero, but given the choice between using worthless USD or scarce Monero it seems most would choose to use the former. 18% of all shopping is done online nowadays. I'm simply surprised there haven't been more trx

@ace_malad You're a retail store in the middle of nowhere vs a popular privacy search engine on the internet. Cryptocurrency adoption is far more likely in the latter. That's not an insult towards you but it is the reality.

I worry that we are becoming an ngu hodl culture. I use it to buy my vpn, vps, and domains, but there is still very little clear market physical goods being dealt in xmr. For perspective I get 1-2 transactions paid in goldbacks per month consistently.

@pmpmprn_lol Again...not really how that works. The Utah border is 15 minutes south of us. A person with a Utah ID cannot buy a gun from our store with a barrel less than 16" per federal law. Some states don't allow ANY purchases from non residents.

@ace_malad are you aware people can just drive to another state that has much looser gun control and bring the gun illegally back into their state

This hardware store in Idaho takes Monero! Extremely based! I have a feeling they will be selling lots of firearms for Monero.
